But in 2016, fan voting was abandoned. This was also for 3 new-artist categories. It was because of the cost of participation. And also, there were many conflicts among the artists because of this. It was controversial. Then, there was web ballot stuffing method. But, this was also not supported by artists. And now this has been abandoned.
