In the last year, almost no awards ceremony has had a red carpet because there were not many guests to walk on them.
It was the biggest night in the entertainment calendar, when the Oscars were held and the nominees were encouraged to attend in person rather than by phone. For fans, the red carpet usually begins a week before the ceremony and ends with a look at what their favourite celebrities intend to wear. This led to an explosion of colour, glamour, and elegance on the red carpet. Here are the biggest and best looks from the 93rd Academy Awards.
Best Looks From the Oscars Red Carpet 2021
Zendaya In Maison Valentino
Taking the runway by storm, she sported a bright and bold yellow Valentino design, which included a flirty and fun midriff cut-out, a thigh-high slit, and a long train. Her Jimmy Choo platform heels and matching face mask complete the look. The starlet accessorized with 183 carats of BVLGARI diamonds, including rings, a statement necklace, and delicate teardrop earrings. Zendaya also serves as an ambassador for the jewelry label. Her look was a total show-stopper.
Olivia Colman in Christian Dior
Though she wasn\'t in Los Angeles for the Academy Awards, Olivia Colman still dressed to impress, attending an official screening of the ceremony in London in a stunning red Dior gown.
In an elegant red-carpet ensemble, her dress featured a high neck, a puffed hem, long sleeves, and a slim silhouette. Designer Maria Grazia Chiuri and her team created the gown for Colman in about 320 hours using red silk crepe, a material developed by the Dior team and Colman\'s stylist Miranda Almond.
Halle Berry In Dolce & Gabbana
On the red carpet of the Oscars in 2021, Halle Berry shines. She made a style comeback at the Oscars after 54 years away as she joined historical faces of Hollywood like Brad Pitt and Reese Witherspoon, as well as new talent.
She shocked us all by debuting a brand new bowl cut hairstyle complete with super short bangs, rounded on each side and an ultra-short bob. Not only was her new look stunning, but her strapless purple gown, which had a plunging sweetheart neckline, also showed off abundant cleavage. Fitted at the waist, the gown flowed into a chiffon skirt that revealed her tiny hips. She wore a flowy dress with a giant bow around her waist.
Reese Witherspoon In Christian Dior
The Legally Blonde star, 45, first made her entrance at the award show in a Christian Dior dress that matched the color of its red carpet. A stripe of burgundy ran down the gown. The dress featured an ombré of reds, maroon, and burgundy pleats and was finished off with a black belt with a square gold buckle.
Laura Dern In Oscar De La Renta
As one of last year\'s winners, Laura Dern returned this year to present the best supporting actor category. It was a sartorial mullet on her arrival at the 2021 Oscars - you know, business in front, party in the back, or, for our purposes, black turtleneck top, white ostrich feather bottom. Dern paired her mixed media gown by Oscar de la Renta with dangling earrings and her signature loose curls. To complete the look, she added a pair of black T-strap heels decorated with a jewel-encrusted cord.
Sacha Baron Cohen In Ralph Lauren & Isla Fisher In Christian Dior
The actor wore a mocha suit from Ralph Lauren Purple Label and finished off the look with a brown silk satin bow tie and linen slippers. He was accompanied by Fisher, 45, in a black Dior dress with a fitted bodice and a V-shaped neckline. A diamond choker from Bulgari and matching earrings from the brand kept the actress\'s jewelry simple for Micah Shifman\'s styling. The loose curls complemented the red lip color.
Rita Moreno
Rita Moreno was the star of the 2021 Oscars. It was an absolute pleasure to see the stunning 89-year-old actress on the red carpet at the Oscars. Her form-fitting burgundy gown featured a mermaid skirt and strapless design, and Rita truly looked stunning. In addition to the dress, she wore a velvet coat with jewels that matched. In the same crimson color as her outfit, she wore a large beaded necklace to finish the look. She completed her look with large baubles and earrings.
Andra Day In Vera Wang
Her stunning gold cutout dress that dropped jaws and stunned social media users. The Vera Wang gown, which showed a section of Andra\'s midriff, was sexy enough to show off the whole of her right thigh. With her curls showcasing ripples, she completed the elegant look with a glam updo. In addition to her Tiffany & Co. diamonds, she wore elegant drop earrings and a platinum and yellow gold bracelet worth over $2 million.
Margot Robbie In Channel
She looked wonderful in her dress and debuted her brand new bangs. In her new hairstyle, she has long curtain bangs in front of her face and golden blonde highlights elsewhere in her hair. A silver floral gown with spaghetti straps and a sweetheart neckline lined with lace adorned her figure. With its tight fit and straight hem, the frock highlighted her fabulously toned figure to perfection. She accessorized with just a black sparkly clutch and a metallic silver floral number. She leans toward letting her new hairstyle be the star of the show by omitting any accessories.
Angela Bassett In Alberta Ferretti
She looked gorgeous at the Oscars in a red, floor length Alberta Ferretti gown. Her elegance personified in the dramatic dress, which featured enormous puffy sleeves and an elegant train.

Forevermark jewelry completed the look.
Laverne Cox In Christian Siriano
As the star of Orange Is the New Black told In Style, Christian Siriano wore a gown inspired by the inside-out of a fuschia orchid. This piece required over 900 metres of fabric to create; Cox first saw the gown at a fashion show and was captivated.
H.E.R In Dundas
In an ensemble inspired by Prince, H.E.R. walked the 2021 Oscars red carpet in a captivating blue ensemble. Dundas\' custom hooded creation sparkled from head to toe and had a flowing cape, making the 23-year-old singer stand out from the crowd. \"Fight for You\" is part of the singer\'s nomination for best original song. \"Judas and the Black Messiah\" lyrics were emblazoned on the border of H.E.R.\'s semi-sheer jumpsuit, which featured wide-leg pants and glittering embellishments matched to the cape and hood.

Regina King in Louis Vuitton
King\'s crystal-encrusted sky blue gown has a modern day Cinderella vibe, featuring a plunging v-neck and dramatic winged shoulders. King\'s look is more whimsical than anything she has worn this season, but it still incorporates architectural details and curve-hugging silhouettes we expect from her on the red carpet. King chose a sleek bob, a navy smokey eye, and Forevermark jewels for the model\'s playful look given the silhouette\'s playful nature.
Carey Mulligan in Valentino Couture
The actress arrived at the red carpet of the 2021 ceremony in L.A. Glowing in a gold floor-length number from Valentino\'s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2021 collection. A two-piece skirt set, the sparkling ensemble from the runway was adorned with embellishments that caught the light beautifully. She and her stylist Nicky Yates kept the accessories to a minimum, opting for classic jewelry by Cartier for a subtle touch.
Emerald Fennell in Gucci
Emerald Fennell, who is expecting her second child, won several awards for her revenge thriller, Promising Young Woman. Gucci\'s whimsical floral gown was the dress of choice for the evening. The pastel green and pink dress featured a billowing skirt adorned with ruffles.
